One of literally hundreds of pictures I took on my two trips to Easter Island.

I love how this tree has stretched out a root into the middle of a street in a major metropolitan area, and
no one has chopped it off, run it over, parked a car on top of it, or otherwise hindered it's growth.
It must have been growing like this for several years by the time I found it,
and not even the city's tree people have cut it back to the curb.
In New York or Chicago this would be absolutely impossible, even if for only the scarcity of parking spaces in these citites.
Even in a smaller town like Colombus, I am amazed this exists.
